Performance Program

Performance Program

Our Performance Program is a professional environment designed exclusively for players desiring to reach the elite level of tennis – where they move through Tennis Victoria’s Super 10s program and the Australian Junior Tour, progress into International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior events, and then finally into the American College System or into a career on the ITF/ATP/WTA tours. We have developed a 4 tier performance training system to complement players as they move through this competitive pathway.

Key Features of the Program:

• Developed and overseen by Director of High Performance, Ryan Meehan who has coached players at all levels. He is a Tennis Australia High Performance Qualified Coach, ATP Certified International Coach (GPTCA) and 2024 Tennis Coaches Australia Club Coach of the Year Finalist. Ryan is assisted by his highly experienced and qualified team of coaches who have also worked with international tennis players.

• Each player is provided with a Long Term Athlete Development Plan (LTAD) showing their Technical, Tactical, Physical and Physiological goals, and all on and off court training priorities. This gives the player, parent & coach a clear direction of where the players development will be heading.

• All players have a minimum of 1 private/semi-private lesson per week to complement their performance squad training. This is a required part of the program and is essential to ensure the players progress and understanding of specific skill tasks they are working on in squads.

• All levels of the program have access to appropriate level Strength & Conditioning (S&C) training by by Dr. Sukhjivan Singh (Phd in Physical Education & Level 3 Performance Athletics Coach). Players perform fitness testing to show areas for improvement and to track their progress.

• Tournament scheduling and support at tournaments by coaches attending selected tournaments throughout the year.
