Hot Shots Junior Group Lessons
The Meehan Tennis Academy is an Official registered deliverer of Tennis Australia’s Junior tennis program – Hot Shots. We place all beginning junior players into this program and organise a free trial class to confirm their correct level. Our Hot Shots classes run with a 6:1 Player to Coach ratio to ensure each child gets adequate attention from the coach.
The Red & Blue levels of our program offer sessions that are 45mins long at a cost of $20 per session; the Orange & Green are 60min classes at $24 per session. All fees are paid up front at the start of a full term, or a pro-rata fee for those commencing mid term. This fee is per child for one session per week and includes all equipment including a loan racquet for each session if you do not own one. Junior racquets can be purchased through our academy for $40-$50 depending on the size.
The class timetable is below for you to look at and please let us know if you’d like to check availability for specific classes. Generally, beginners would be placed into the following levels for the free trial class: Blue 4-7yrs, Red 8-10yrs, Orange 11-13yrs, Green 14-16yrs
Further information about Hot Shots Junior Group Lessons
ANZ Hot Shots is Tennis Australia’s official junior program, based on a “learning through play” philosophy, which means that playing the game of tennis is a central feature of each session. Smaller courts, racquets and softer balls make it possible to develop children’s skills faster, while the red, orange and green stages offer a clear pathway.
The Meehan Tennis Academy is registered as an official deliverer and have been conducting high quality Hot Shots lessons since the programs inception in 2008. We maintain the quality of the program by using coaches that are trained though official Tennis Australia courses and we constantly assess the children to ensure that they are graded in the correct class level to maximise their learning and development opportunities. Our Hot Shots classes run with a maximum 6:1 Player to Coach ratio to ensure each child gets adequate attention from the coach.
